PropDesign Program

Propellers are the working end of a pusher design like the Long-EZ.

PropDesign is a propeller design program created and used by Joe Dubner. It is one of the technical projects linked from his personal home page, alongside the aircraft pages, the hangar cam, and the solar generation notes.

The program exists to help work out the geometry of a propeller: blade planform, pitch distribution, and the resulting performance of a design. It is a personal tool rather than a commercial product, published on this site as part of the same collection of aviation and engineering notes.

Where it fits

  • Part of the home page "Quick Links" group of technical projects.
  • Useful background for anyone working on a canard pusher or a similar propeller-driven aircraft.
  • Complements the aircraft pages, which cover Joe's Long-EZ and its live APRS tracking.

For the aircraft itself — history, specifications, and tracking data — see My Airplane. To reach Joe directly, use the Contact page.
